Oklahoma Film ICON Sterlin Harjo Named 2024 MacArthur Fellow, FX Pilot Ordered to Series

It’s been a nonstop year for Oklahoma Film ICON and ‘Reservation Dogs’ creator Sterlin Harjo, whose drama pilot – created in collaboration with four-time OSCAR© nominee Ethan Hawke – was recently ordered to series at FX!

Commissioned in February under the working title “The Sensitive Kind,” the pilot was filmed in Oklahoma and starred Keith David, Siena East, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Oklahoma Film ICON Tim Blake Nelson, Scott Shepherd, Tracy Letts, Kyle Maclachlan, and Macon Blair opposite Hawk.

Additionally, Harjo was recently named a 2024 MacArthur Fellow for his creative endeavors! Awarded annually by the MacArthur Foundation, honorees are recognized with the Genius Grant: a five-year, no-strings-attached $800,000 fund for use at their discretion. Learn more about this year’s MacArthur fellows here, and please join us in congratulating Sterlin on this monumental accomplishment!
