2023 Highlight
The 23rd Annual deadCenter Film Festival was a smashing success! 170 films were selected from the 2,000 films submitted. 20 awards were given, including 2 Academy Award®-qualifying categories; Best Live Action Short and Best Short Animation. Filmmakers joined us from across the country and even as far as Australia! We had so much fun – we can’t wait for next year! Submissions open August 15th. Mark your calendars for your opportunity to join the excitement of dCFF24, June 6th - 9th, 2024.
Congratulations to the winners of our Academy Award®-qualifying categories! “Young People, Old People & Nothing in Between,” directed by Parida Tantiwasadakran, took home the award for Best Live-Action Short, while the French student film “Swing to the Moon” won Best Short Animation. We wish these films and their teams the best of luck as they take their next steps on the road to the OSCAR!
